Save the Girl Child

We have also had several fora for daughter-and- mother interactions to let girls become more aware of their rights as they build confidence in themselves.

We give ourselves treats whenever we can afford it, we go on field trips, and picnic.

We have touched boy-children as well.

In May 2016, we included young boys in our programme as we had a thought provoking seminar on the theme, Purpose Driven Youth for both male and female students from selected secondary schools within the state in commemoration of the 2016 children’s day celebration.

We do commemorate children’s day annually.

A One day seminar and skill acquisition programmes are organized by WIT-GIRL in commemoration of the Children’s Day.

Celebration of the 2016 of International Day of Girl child with the theme: Girls’ Progress = Goals’ Progress.

Celebration of the 2017 of International Day of Girl child with the theme Empower Girls: Before, During and After Conflict.

Celebration of the 2018 of International Day of Girl child with the theme Justice for Girls.

Celebration of the 2019 of International Day of Girl child with the theme Girl Force, Unscripted and Unstoppable.

Celebration of the 2020 of International Day of Girl child with the theme My Voice, Our Equal Future.
